Our department is responsible for implementing new technologies in the context of a consistent digitization strategy for the BMW production system. In particular, we are concerned with the use of foundation models for the development of novel, scalable, effective, and secure applications. The main focus is on the development of platforms for the efficient provisioning of LLM-based applications for specifically for designed for direct and indirect production environments. This includes the combination of various data sources, end-user-oriented interface modeling, as well as the definition and enforcement of standards in dealing with foundation models.
